AMC 2nd Convocation Ceremony

Kota Kinabalu, Thursday, 27th July, 2017 : AMC The School of Business held its second convocation ceremony today which took place in Likas Square Ballroom at Likas Square Commercial Centre. A total of 41 students were conferred to diplomas with 5 students were awarded with the MCSA and CCNA certificates. The event was graced by the Honourable Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai who was the Guest of Honour. The momentous event was also attended by the founder of AMC College as well as the MK Group Managing Director, Dr Lawrence Chu and the Director of Studies of AMC College, Dr Cannye Chung.

Addressing the Convocation Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai emphasised the need of lifelong learning upon the graduates to survive in today’s competitive world and to pursue knowledge-seeking. “Knowledge-seeking is available anytime, anywhere. We have a vast amount of incredible online learning platforms available on the Internet to supplement your classroom education” he urged.

He also encouraged the graduates to have a purpose in life as it can turn dreams into something great. “Purpose is having something bigger than yourselves, that you are needed, that you have something better ahead to work for. Purpose is what creates true happiness. You need to create a sense of purpose for others” he boldly asserted.

During an interview with one of the graduates who delivered a valedictorian speech during the ceremony, Ting Yau Ming, 21, said it was such an honour to have delivered a speech in front of his fellow graduates and all parents, especially his mother. “AMC has changed who I am, and what I am going to be”, he said meaningfully. Currently, he is working as an IT Junior Technician at AMC College.

Meanwhile, 21-year old graduate, Su Haozhe who was also the best student of Diploma in Marketing said that he has gained awesome experience studying in AMC College. As for him, he is looking forward to pursuing his studies abroad while broadening his working experience in marketing field for the time being.

Lim Hsiu Ying, 27, was extremely delighted to have been awarded the Best Student title. She is indeed one of the top-achievers in Diploma in Computer Networking. As much as the other students want to do their best in lives, she is also committed to pursue her own goal.

AMC offers various fields of study such as Diploma in Computer Networking, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Marketing, Diploma in Hospitality, and Diploma in Business Administration.
