Congratulations to all the 8 students who passed the The London Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) certification at AMC College, Likas Square Commercial Centre, Kota Kinabalu!
LCCI Qualifications are awarded by Pearson Education Ltd. It is an accredited Awarding Body providing vocational and professional qualification around the world. Two students were awarded with the Country Silver Medal Award for their outstanding achievement in Level 2 Book-keeping and Accounts (2008 Syllabus). They were Sim Chong Chin and Kenneth Yap Jen Khong.
To acknowledge the outstanding achievements of these students, AMC College has conducted a brief interview on their successes and achievements. However, Sim Chong Chin was unable to attend the interview as he was in Johore. The other student, Kenneth, when interviewed said that the course was challenging but with the guidance from the lecturer, particularly, Mr Vivit, he managed to do his best. Kenneth works as a part time pianist at Grandis Hotel and teaching piano lessons partially to support his studies. According to him, achieving the award was something that he never thought of. His family was also very proud of his achievement. Encouragement from all of the people around him was also one of the keys in his success.
Kenneth who also obtained an excellent result in SPM wished to strive for the best to get a Gold Award at Level 3. When asked about his future planning, Kenneth mentioned that he wished to continue his LCCI Level 3 at AMC College to get the LCCI Diploma. It is something that he is looking forward to do next year. Kenneth also emphasized the importance of lecturer’s roles in the course. He believed that he will do well again in LCCI Level 3 with the same determination, energy, and dedication he had when he did his LCCI Level 2.
