ICT mobile training at Dewan Kg Tinuhan, Tenghilan

The commitment of KSTI to providing fully sponsored ICT courses for Sabahans is a mission to be reckoned with. For the past decade, many Sabahans have benefited from it, with this year alone seeing scores of youths undergoing training spanning more than 130 ICT courses through its appointed training provider.

The appointed training provider, Advanced Business Systems Consultants Sdn Bhd (ABSC), continues to play its role in assisting KSTI to ensure all Sabahans are given the opportunity to access the fully sponsored ICT courses.

Accordingly, ABSC has well planned out for 2023 a comprehensive training schedule with a total of 149 ICT courses and 4 language courses. The training schedule will be supported by an efficient IT administration system which encompasses a multi-channel enquiry system, Mobile App registration, advanced computer lab locations with localised IT centres as well as ‘Mobile Training Centres’ throughout Sabah and online class options with e-certification. With this integrated approach, it is expected that the training will be delivered and completed more conveniently.

In addition, ABSC has lined up 27 new ICT courses in the coming year, keeping abreast with current development trends in the area of IR4.0, such as Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate, Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Android Certified Application Development, Adobe Certified Professional in Digital Video: Adobe Premiere Pro, Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate, R-Programming, Online Media Creation – Adobe Express, as well as other relevant courses.

According to Ms Ginny Wong, the Senior Manager of ABSC, all the total 153 courses offered in 2023 are not only beneficial for personal development, as most of the courses can also serve specific, in-demand professional needs. “For instance, there are 17 globally recognised Professional Certification courses that will equip participants to qualify as technicians in the field. While other courses can upskill participants to be more competitive in the workplace, begin a start-up as a technopreneur, become self-employed or even have more freedom on the job as a freelancer,” she said.

Besides ICT programs, ABSC continues to offer language courses like English for Employability, Conversational Korean, Japanese and Mandarin due to overwhelming support for these courses. Echoing the state government’s call to train more youth to be more ICT literate and competent for future employment readiness, ABSC is inviting the school leavers, graduates or youth who are currently unemployed to register and attend any of the available courses.

All the courses are free and come with training materials, refreshments and e-certificates of attendance. Other members of the public are also welcome to sign up for these FREE courses by calling/ WhatsApp Mr Lovelone at 019-5401788/088-235218 (office) for further arrangements, or register online at www.amc.edu.my/government-sponsored-programme/
