AMC University College was proud to take part in the Free Ride Tour & KK Harmony Ride 2025, held on 15 February 2025 in Kota Kinabalu. A total of 18 students from various higher education institutions (IPTs), including Almacrest International College, AMC University College, and Jesselton University College, participated in this meaningful event.
Jointly organized by the Department of Tourism and Community Well-being, Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK), in collaboration with DBKK Holdings Sdn. Bhd., Sabah Tourism Board (STB), and the Sabah Tourist Guide Association (STGA), the event aimed to showcase the unique cultural and religious diversity of Kota Kinabalu while promoting eco-tourism through a free cycling tour.
Starting at 2 PM from KK Sentral, participants cycled to three key pitstops:
🏛 Masjid Negeri Sabah
🕌 Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Temple
⛪ Sacred Heart Cathedral
At each stop, participants had the opportunity to visit and learn about the significance of these locations, fostering greater understanding and appreciation of the city’s multicultural harmony.
This initiative also supports efforts to promote Kota Kinabalu as a top tourist destination, with cycling tours adding to the city’s growing list of eco-friendly tourism activities.
A big thank you and congratulations to all participants! We look forward to more collaborations in the future to support a cleaner, greener, and more harmonious Kota Kinabalu.
