KOTA KINABALU, SABAH | 14 August 2026 — AMC University College (AMC UC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Junior Chamber International (JCI) Tanjung Aru, marking a new strategic collaboration focused on education, training, leadership development, industry engagement and community service.
The MOU was established on 14 August 2026 to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry/NGO practitioners through knowledge-sharing activities, educational and training opportunities, leadership development initiatives, as well as industry and social service projects for the wider community in Sabah.
Expanding Opportunities Through Education and Training
Under the collaboration, AMC UC will promote its academic programmes and scholarship opportunities through JCI Tanjung Aru’s channels, helping to create greater awareness of educational opportunities within the wider community.
The partnership will also explore opportunities in training and leadership development, including Government-sponsored courses, HRD Corp-claimable courses, other training programmes and leadership initiatives.
Building Stronger Industry and Community Connections
Both organisations may jointly organise talks, seminars and industry engagement initiatives, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing and meaningful engagement with the community.
In addition, AMC UC and JCI Tanjung Aru may collaborate on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and community service initiatives, contributing to the development and well-being of the wider community.
The MOU also allows both parties to explore further collaborations, initiatives and activities that are mutually beneficial to both organisations, relevant stakeholders and the wider community.
Looking Towards a Meaningful Partnership
Through this collaboration, AMC University College and JCI Tanjung Aru look forward to developing meaningful initiatives that connect education, leadership, industry and community engagement.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, professional development and community participation while strengthening connections between educational institutions and community-focused organisations.
The MOU was signed on behalf of AMC University College by Lo Ching Wing, Chief Executive, and on behalf of JCI Tanjung Aru by Ball Lee, President. Wee Mei Yen, Registrar, and Alvis Loo, Past President, were present as witnesses.
