AMC University College and Sabah Builders Association Sign MOU to Develop Future Construction Talent

KOTA KINABALU, SABAH — 11 August 2026 — AMC University College (AMC UC) and the Sabah Builders Association (SBA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration between education and the construction industry, with a focus on developing skilled and future-ready talent in Sabah.

The collaboration will provide opportunities for professional training, academic development, industry exposure and career pathways for SBA members, their employees and families, as well as AMC UC students.

Strengthening Industry Skills

Under the MOU, AMC UC and SBA will collaborate to provide relevant CIDB, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), and HRD Corp-claimable courses for SBA members. These initiatives aim to support continuous professional development and help industry practitioners enhance their skills and knowledge.

Connecting Students with Industry

The partnership will also create opportunities for AMC UC students to gain practical industry experience through internships with SBA member companies. This provides students with greater exposure to the workplace while allowing industry partners to connect with potential future talent.

In addition, AMC UC will promote its academic programmes and DCKK Scholarship to SBA members, as well as their employees and families, helping to expand access to higher education opportunities.
