KOTA KINABALU, SABAH — AMC University College students took part in a meaningful environmental conservation activity at the Kota Kinabalu Wetlands Ramsar Site in conjunction with World Mangrove Day 2026.

The activity provided students with an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and gain firsthand experience in environmental conservation, teamwork, community service and environmental responsibility.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Through their participation at the wetlands, students experienced the importance of protecting and preserving mangrove ecosystems while contributing to a meaningful community initiative.

The hands-on experience allowed students to learn through action, working together and taking part in efforts that support the conservation of our precious wetlands.

Small Actions, Meaningful Impact

The activity was not only about conservation but also about encouraging students to recognise their role in creating a more sustainable future. With a little mud, teamwork and plenty of learning, the experience created lasting memories while reinforcing the importance of environmental responsibility.

AMC University College is proud of all students who participated and contributed their time and effort towards protecting the wetlands.

Small actions today can create a greener tomorrow. 🌱
